▪️ Begin with the fact that this is a separate device, usually small in size. Most often, the manufacturer that produces routers also produces repeaters. You can find these in almost any computer hardware store, online store, and from an authorized seller. There are enough of them on the market, but they differ in both appearance and internal functionality. This lies in the principle of operation, of which there are only two:

✔AP Mode - designed for wired connection, that is, a regular router is suitable;

✔Repeater Mode - designed for wireless connection, that is, through a router.

▪️ Their main task is to amplify the signal of an existing Wi-Fi network. What is it for? Often the following situation occurs: the router was installed, but the signal is not available throughout the room. But instead of buying a repeater, customers try to stretch the cables to the center, buy more powerful antennas, and so on. Why, if everything is much simpler?

▪️ The principle of operation of the repeater is very simple. You have a main Wi-Fi router that catches perfectly in the room, and in the kitchen the signal is already weak. In this situation, you need to install a repeater between these places, in the corridor. Then he will receive the signal from the main router and pass it on. That is, it simply relays the wireless network! Client devices can also switch between different access points using it. A great example is a shopping center or a large private cottage.
